ABOUT MY WORK:
Decades of relentless content production, live events, and habitual line-stepping have given me a good problem to solve.
This site features my best attempt at a curated selection of projects and collaborations from a variety of disciplines. They reflect a skill set, style, and range developed over a unique career as a multi-media artist and agile marketing operation.
From 2005-2015 most of the work centered around music and event promotion. This included copy-writing, email, and all things social media. The last 5 years have seen a shift back toward my origins in video content. And in the last two years a heavy focus on developing deeper knowledge around design and motion graphics.
MUSIC HIGHLIGHTS:
It started off as a hobby, turned into a side gig, and evolved into a full blown career. Always willing to go with the flow, I rode the wave for over a decade and made a living as a professional DJ, event host, and music producer based out of New York City. Here are a few highlights:
-European launch series on the world’s largest cruise ships.(Royal Caribbean) [5X]
-National tours with Pepsi and Target.
-Critical acclaim from taste-maker outlets such as Afro-Punk, Magnetic Magazine and The Global Bass Experience.
-Resident event host and instructor at the Scratch DJ Academy.
-Original productions reached as highs #3 on Beatport and received support from Ritchie Hawtin, Nic Faciulli and many more Global DJ’s.
-Remixed Latin icon Celia Cruz, composed dramatic interludes and designed the soundscape for Ballet Hispanico's "Asuka". The production premiered at New York's Apollo Theatre and tours the nation annually.
-Shared the stage with big names such as A-Trak, Junior Sanchez and The Knocks as well as celebrity jocks like Boy George, Michelle Rodriguez and others.
-Performed at a multitude of New York venues including Pacha, Marquis, and the USS Intrepid.
FILM / TV:
After college, I moved to New York and immersed myself the Film / TV industry. Starting off as a Post Production intern at Comedy Central’s ‘Upright Citizens Brigade’, I found a home in Locations where my ability to problem solve on the fly and relate to New York’s full range of colorful characters earned me a role as a vital team member for many major productions.
After witnessing film-making at it's highest level, my personal reality was that working 70 hour weeks on these huge sets limited the ability to write and pursue original ideas. So while I loved rubbing elbows with top names in entertainment, I left big production to produce my own content on a smaller scale.
